Computing at CSCW

Internet Access

CSCW 2006 will provide free 802.11b/g wireless Internet access in (and just outside of) the session rooms. This service will be available Sunday through Wednesday (24 hours per day). More information about connecting is available on the CSCW Wiki.

Attendees staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs can get complimentary Internet access if they sign up the Fairmont Presidents Club. Sign up is free of charge. You must sign up ahead of time - you can’t do it when you get to the hotel. If you do not sign up in advance, hotel Internet access will cost $13.95 per day. You can sign up at the Fairmont Web Site. If you do not have your own computer with wireless connectivity, the Fairmont provides internet access in their business center.

Community Computing

We have a Wiki available at http://www.cscw2006.org/wiki/. We encourage participants to create and utilize other communication channels, such as personal blogs, IRC channels, MMOGs, etc. If you create or know of these resources, please share the address on the Wiki.

PDA-Friendly Schedule

A small-screen-friendly version of the conference schedule is available at www.cscw2006.org/pda/.
